Iron Bridge

Located on the banks of the Spokane River in Spokane, Washington, Iron Bridge is a proposal for a student housing project serving nearby Gonzaga University. The project provides a mix of 144 studio and 22 2-bedroom units, and features a multi-level amenity space for residents that includes a media room, community kitchen, and rooftop terrace.

Simple massing and a minimal material palette are utilized so that the large project feels approachable and warm, and gives the building a sense of place and belonging. Western facing units offer unobstructed views of the Spokane River, and large outdoor plazas provide a connection to, and buffer from, the adjacent riverfront bike path and downtown Spokane.
